New Jersey’s Adam Gilbert is releasing his long awaited 3rd studio Album, “On Softer Ground” on December 15th, 2017. This piano based singer-songwriter has an impressive resume that includes his first 2 albums receiving 5 star reviews on iTunes, film festival awards for self directing his last music video, national radio play, critically acclaimed reviews and his own Pandora and Spotify station which includes more than 250,00 plays.
His new release is accompanied by 2 music videos “On Softer Ground” which was previously featured on Video Static and “ I Want You to Know.” On Softer Ground won best music video and the audience choice award at the New Hope Film Festival this summer. Gilbert also won the merit award from the Accolade Global film competition and entry in the Manhattan and Hoboken Film Festivals. The second music video, “I Want You to Know” was released on November 17th of a live recording session that focuses on the difficult subject of suicide prevention. Gilbert’s hope is that this music video/song is shared to help those who are going through depression or are being bullied. He wants them to know that no matter what they are going through there are always people who love and care for them. It’s a powerful live performance with an inspiring message that’s so relevant and desperately needed in today’s world. Gilbert says, “I am so grateful for this song, I had the music for 3 years but every time I sat down to write the lyrics I didn’t like it. So I put it away over periods of time and then brought it out and kept trying and trying and trying until I was satisfied. I just can’t release something I’m not proud of. Although I’ve taken a lot of time for this new album and both music videos I feel good about them and want to share them with the world.”
