Best Music Video

Winners: Dave Free & Kendrick Lamar, video directors; Jack Begert, Cornell Brown, Sam Canter, Jared Heinke, Jamie Rabineau & Anthony Saleh, video producers

Alicia Keys & Maleah Joi Moon "Kaleidoscope" (Kajal, dir.)

This music video tie-in to Alicia Keys' Broadway musical Hell's Kitchen features the icon celebrating NYC vibes alongside the show's star Maleah Joi Moon.

Kajal, director: "Alicia and I wanted this to feel colorful, layered, and bright, just like a kaleidoscope. Having the ability to direct this in the apartment complex she grew up in made the story that much more genuine and intentional. I got to create with Alicia Keys, Maleah Moon, and the cast and crew in a way that felt playful - like we were all long-time homies just coming together for a good time. You could feel that sense of community all around. This was a love letter to Hell’s Kitchen and every single person involved had their hand in writing it."

Sage The Gemini "Don't You" (Suj, dir.)

Sage The Gemini's new music video for "Don't You" directed by SUJ, perfectly chronicles that moment in the club when a girl is just not feeling a guy. He may be persistent, boasting about his bankroll or trying to smooth talk her into a drink, just like Sage does in the video, but she hits with those six simple words: "Boy you know I don't want you." No one ever said simpin' was easy.

99% "Yike In It" (Suj, dir.)

Bay Area duo 99% are the latest to bring yiking—the slick and slowed-down dance popularized by Sage the Gemini’s “Red Nose”—nationwide. Their single “Yike In It,” out on iTunes today, is an effortless, club-friendly slap. Directed by SUJ For its new video, they pull out all the stops: llamas, elderly ratchets, an abundance of yiking and twerking and the age-old video trope of a hot teacher.

Sage The Gemini f/ Kool John "College Drop" (Suj, dir.)

Sage The Gemini just keeps dropping potential hit records. After the success of ‘Gas Pedal’ and ‘Red Nose’, he released this single ‘College Drop’ featuring his good buddy from HBK Kool John. Directed by SUJ, this video, should definitely help give him some push for this single, especially since he just released the ‘Gas Pedal’ remix with some no name artist named Justin Bieber.
