One of the essential figures in the history of music videos has passed away. Rest in peace, Marty Callner, aged 78.
Legendary by almost any metric, the director is best know for classic clips starting from Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" and an amazing hit journey through the '80s/'90s that included:
- Aerosmith "Amazing" "Crazy" "Cryin" "Dude Looks Like A Lady"
- Cher "If I Could Turn Back Time"
- Poison "Every Rose Has Its Thorn"
- Whitesnake "Here I Go Again" "Still Of The Night"
Callner also originated the NFL series "Hard Knocks" and directed numerous comedy and live musoc specials.
A legend and an iconic director by almost any metric. He will be missed.
