Dancer Maddie Ziegler and Sia Recreate "Chandelier" for Dancing With The Stars

The great Maddie Ziegler reprises her "Chandelier" dance routine — previously seen on Ellen — on Dancing With The Stars with castmember Allison Holker, and Sia herself in the background. The staging and camerawork are a step above what we saw on Ellen — don't get me started on the Lena Dunham version — and definitely strengthens the case for "Chandelier" as the most impactful video of the year and maybe the most notable video dance since "Thriller" (sorry, Shmurda).

Tokio Hotel "Girl Got A Gun [NSFW]" (Kris Moyes, dir.)

There's a whole lotta blurring going on in the official version of the new Tokio Hotel video — which is why we're going the uncesored route. Before you clicky click, just know there's nothing all that sexy under the blurs, unless you've got a thing for well-endowed blue monsters that ejaculate ping pong balls. Once you get past that, you're in for a loose revenge tale told via a GIF-friendly style where three alien women strike back at the aforementioned jerk.

Hercules and Love Affair "My Offence [NSFW]" (Matt Lambert, dir.)

Taking perhaps the worst curse word out there and turning it into a symbol of power — that's the underlying theme behind this clip from Hercules and Love Affair and director Matt Lambert, who blur the lines between music video and documentary much like the way the NYC gay nightlife icons featured here blur the lines between taboo and acceptance. Paris, it seems, has never stopped burning.

Andy Butler, Hercules & Love Affair: "My initial idea was to conceptualise the song through a series of filmed interviews with performance artists who explore profanity and gender in their work but I was not aiming at the fusion of music, video and documentary. When I talked to Matt for the first time he mentioned the idea of combining the two formats - music video and documentary. Fast forward 6 months to when I previewed the early edits and it kind of blew my mind"

Matt Lambert, director: "I spoke to some of the people who appear in the video for over an hour. Each of them had a different answer and different relationship to the word 'cunt' as well as the appropriation and reclamation of profane language as a means of pushing culture forward. Language, especially when dealing with issues surrounding identity, defines people's realities whether they choose to embrace or ignore language.”

Eraserheads "1995" (Erik Matti, dir.)

This post-heavy video unfurls like a poster collage featuring Filipino band Eraserheads who are apparently...

a) Famous enough in the Phillipines to warrant an Esquire Magazine cover and tie-in for this video

b) Releasing new music after a 10 year break

... but you don't need to know any of that to dig the kaleidoscopic video.

Seth Rogen and James Franco Talk "Bound 2" and Kanye

Say it ain't so, Kanye, say it ain't so...

Seth Rogen revealed on a Tales From The Set piece for The Tonight Show that Kanye West told him that his puzzling "Bound 2" video was "supposed to be bad, that it was bad for the purpose of being bad." And that Rogen and James Franco may have spent more time making the video than Kanye and Kim Kardishian.

Check out the interview for that and many more insights — some of which are about Rogen's sexy back — via The Tonight Show...

And, of course, check the original "Bound 2"...

SBTRKT f/ Ezra Koenig "New Dorp New York" (Fons Schiedon, dir.)

Expecting Gotham majestics in the video for SBTRK's masterful "New Dorp. New York" featuring Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig? Sorry. But that's not to say this animated video doesn't have the right vibe — it's just doesn't play with the art deco references of the song, nor does it have anything to do with Staten Island's place with the 2nd best name (number 1 will always remain Fresh Kills).

Ylvis "Trucker's Hitch" (Ole Martin Hafsmo, dir.)

Two things may always remain the grasp of Ylvis: The tricky knot known as the Trucker's Hitch, and spinning off another oddball global smash on the scale of their "Fox" video. That said, "Trucker's Hitch" looks good, has a dance for you to figure out, and hits many of the same set-ups as good ol' Foxy — and already has two million YouTube views as of this writing. So, maybe they'll figure this knot out after all...

PS: How can there not be a baloon knot joke here?
