Punk going pop ain't nothing new, but this first taste off Punk Goes Pop (Volume 2) — a collection of emo bands tackling various contemporary hit songs — is about as unabashed as you get. A Static Lullaby treat the Britney Spears track "Toxic" about as reverentially as a crooner would treat a Cole Porter composition. Director Robby Starbuck similarly pays tribute to the pop star's
videography and most famed looks. A gaggle of look-a-likes frolic and vamp around the band as they respect every hook of the original tune. The only thing missing is any reference to Brit Brit's brief and memorable
stint as a raging Prince Ilia. I guess that "Leave Britney Alone" sticker in the video isn't meant to be ironic --> watch "Toxic"
