There are a few things one can obviously talk about with this new Rihanna video:
- Compare and contrast it with the new Chris Brown video, most likely throwing in some sort of fighting metaphor or pun. (yawn)
- Joke about her eye patch (also yawn, even though I've already done it via my Twitter, which you should follow if you really want in on my minutiae)
The other talking point is the gritty, yet glam vibe that director Anthony Mandler and Rihanna achieve in this teaser clip. Much like the album title Rated R tells you that Rihanna is going for something a bit more grown-up, the video for "Wait Your Turn" economically (and I mean in terms of the video content, not necessarily the budget) signifies a a new phase of her career and visual style.
