Description: Most directors would have been content to just play out the simple premise that drives this video: Cast a roster of top-name rap stars to play the roles of Korn and film the performance. Easy. Clever. Done. Director Dave Meyers, however, takes that idea and builds it up into a rock video parody that's one of the funniest and most entertaining videos you'll see all year. The casting of Lil Jon as singer Jonathan Davis, Snoop Dogg as guitarist Munky, Xzibit as bassist Fieldy and David Banner as drummer David Silvera is pure genius. But, this video would work even if it starred Korn as themselves. "Twisted Transistor" is primarily an homage to Spinal Tap as a documentary crew captures all the ridiculous travails that a rock band faces on the road. There are lots of breaks for comedic dialogue and, in a nod to Animal House, there's even an ending "where are they now" segment. There are many potshots taken at Korn's expense, not to mention a few barbs thrown at their old label and some notable industry figures. I'd encourage you to buy the video on iTunes, but it's not available there (yet). So, watch it for free courtesy of Korn.com in either Real or Windows.
