I would hazard that the sweet spot for the Venn Diagram between Tegan And Sara and Bojack Horseman is fairly small, but thankfully it's been hit with a bullseyes via this video directed in a Bojackian style by the show's Lisa Hanawalt.
One of the most LGBTQ-friendly videos to come along in a while. And no, it's not a RuPaul's Drag Race-style video. Here, some of the community's best-known stars lip-sync to T&S dressed as a few of music's popular icons.
There's something lo-fi, off-the-cuff and "anti" about the about Tegan and Sara's "Boyfriend" video — which are all phrases that I would use to describe Robin Thicke's notorious "Blurred Lines" smash. But instead of a topless Emily Ratajkowski and the other women who apparently didn't capture the media's attention, we have designer Rachel Antonoff and actresses Sarah Ramos and Mae Whitman, who keep trying to spruce up this mostly bare video, while TeSara stay focused on signing the song and getting this damned (yet awesome) video finished.
Has a six year old named Markus Jolly made a LEGO video as awesome as Michel Gondry's "Fell In Love With A Girl" masterpiece? Me thinks not, but that doesn't make this mix of little kid drawings, cute LEGO clips and some The LEGO Movie footage any less awesome — especially thanks to the song by Tegan And Sarah with The Lonely Island.
